‘Jiyu 3421’ was approved by the National Variety Approval Committee in 2018. It has the characteristics of high yield, stable yield and wide adaptability. Its high yield is more than 15000 kg/ha, which is 5.2% higher than the control variety ‘Zhengdan 958’. It has strong resistant to stress，lodging and disease, especially to maize bacterial wilt. In the late growing stage of ‘Jiyu 3421’ , the grain dehydrates quickly and is suitable for mechanized harvesting. Due to its excellent silage quality and suitable for both grain and forage use, it meets the requirements of the current maize planting structure adjustment in China. In 2020, it was listed as an expert recommended variety by Shijiazhuang Seed Management Station, with a popularized area of more than 14,000 hectares.
